AGV Motorcycle Helmets
When the founder of AGV Sports, Amisano Gino Valenza, first opened his business, his intention was not to manufacture helmets, he was into making and designing leather bike saddles and leather seats for motorcycles. It was not until 1947 that the company decided to expand and try to come up with different innovative ways of designing racing helmets. They searched for ways to manufacture these helmets that was completely different than any other helmet that had been made before. This goal ultimately ended up in forming the History of AGV Helmets. The History of AGV Helmets takes us all the way back to the year 1949, when the first ever leather shelled open-faced helmet was released onto the market. This immediately caught the attention of the professional motorcycle racers and that is where AGV helmets made their first appearance. And where it still remains today.
